If you’ve wondered what the term K-Shaped Economy means, it is exactly this. While it
existed prior to Trump’s second term, he has widened the gap between rich and poor.
Rick Neman writing on MSNOW states, “Many of Donald Trump's biggest policy
decisions have made affluent households even wealthier while leaving millions of others
facing higher prices, reduced benefits and greater financial insecurity.”
Trump’s tariffs have made things more expensive. Any funds distributed from those
tariffs have gone to corporations not the purchasers. And purchasers at the lower ends
of the downward leg of the ”K” have also suffered from reduced food subsidies and
higher (often unaffordable) healthcare insurance.
His reckless and wasteful war with Iran has drastically increased gas and diesel prices,
which also place a larger burden on families already struggling to pay for rent and food.
The upside in the Stock Market and home prices only further enriches the already
wealthy Americans.
Billionaires like Trump couldn't care any less how Republican's dismal policies are hurting your bottom line, and Trump says so. Remember that come November!
When confronted with these facts Trump’s responses are as disturbing as the facts
themselves. He has said, “I love the inflation” and asked if he was concerned about the
cost of the Iran war to American families, he replied. “Not even a little bit.”
