A Higher Purpose

When we specifically acknowledge something, we appreciate what is being done right, what is efficient & fair, and more importantly - what is done in service of the poorest and that improves life for all. If people don't measure value in this way and require what must be actual accomplishments to these ends, then society is harmed.

Hold yourself and any leaders to that sort of higher purpose.

My thoughts for this Sunday, August 06 stem from a book I am reading, titled: Mountains Beyond Mountains - The Quest of Dr. Paul Farmer, A Man Who Would Cure The World by Tracy Kidder.
